I found odin and firmwares downloaded quickly from updato. I have two sims, one is Telstra, one is Amaysim. The Amaysim sim doesn't work in sim slot 2 but works in sim slot 1. Telstra sim works in both slots.

Your phone will work fine out of the box! The option to flash Australian Firmware is just to guarantee all of the functionality for your carrier will work correctly. Also for stuff like Samsung Pay, not every region has access yet, so if you want that you might want XSA firmware.

From a 'speed of update' perspective, XSA is one of the slower regions, so don't flash it if you want to get updates as soon as possible. You're better off with somewhere like France XEF or similar where updates get released before any other region at least XEF was the one for me with my S6.

It is depend where the phone come from. I don't flash both phone with Xsa rom. I bought one of these from T-Dimension and it said Duos on the packaging. I flashed it with XSA following the tutorial instructions in this thread and no probs.

It does come up in the phone info with f and not fd but the model number comes up with the FD at the end. It works basically as a stock AUS phone. I haven't had any issues and phone is working well.

I have even ordered the Samsung gear 3 frontier. I received mine last week — says Duos on the box, but not on the back. Flashed the Aussie ROM, works perfectly and is for all intents and purposes the same as an AU phone, apart from the charger having straight pins.

Looked at the local Single Sim version in a couple of shops and the HTC seems a tad quicker and smoother. Was told that is likely "Bloat Ware". Model is about a year old. No guarantee of upgrade to Android 7 or 7. But it has nearly comparable network bands to the the S8 and one the S8 doesn't have.

But some of the reports about call quality are not so rosy. If you know any other device that can meet those range of specs. Also interested to hear about them. I also noticed something about "Flashing" the S8 to Australian Specs.

So do I need to buy a fast charger? You can just use the overseas charger with a pin adapter it's multivoltage, V — I'd suggest getting a decent one from a local shop rather than using the crappy one most overseas sellers include though.

My GFD came in a sealed box with a charger that looks exactly like my S7 charger except is black in colour and has flat US pins. Mines from dwi on ebay. Says an adapter will be included bit the one my daughter got from Gearbest was scary so I figured this one could potentially be the same!
